Hail everyone and thanks for support!
It's been a while since our last update and not much has happened. Essi asked to leave the band quite a while ago because lack of motivation. It is a real pity, but it means I'll take over the microphone again. My growling times are spent, but I've been singing a lot during the year and I've already composed clean vocals for the songs of As the Leaves Fall.
Otto from Demolisher contacted us in order to replace Dani as drummer. Otto is a professional death metal drummer and has a golden touch with drums. We're very happy to get him into our band.
We'll play one gig this spring. The songs will be different from what they are on the album. The drums are played with more intense blast beat (because of Otto) and doom metal style vocals replace growling (because of myself).
I've been down on energy for a year or two, but I've been eager to compose more and start playing again for long. I have new ideas and a vision of the music I want to play with From Ashes. So, if God gives me strength and gives us back the freezing winters of our childhood, I'll take the guitar and the pen and cast the past alive again. The day may be next fall, or it may take longer, but the day wil come.
Now behold! From Ashes will attack you this April and we'll sure kick your asses again! Playing live is one of the coolest things to do in life anyway.
