Finnish Gothic Extreme band From Ashes announces their debut album

Formerly acclaimed in the underground, From Ashes has now entered the publicity with their debut album As the Leaves Fall. From Ashes has played actively live since 2001 and released four well-noted demos.

Put on your headphones, close your eyes and let be cast into a dark spruce forest in the late Finnish autumn. By every step you witness the forthcoming. Every fallen tree, all the dead leaves remind you of the inevitable - your death. As the Leaves Fall is the sound track of this journey, once walked by the unknown men and women.

From Ashes mixes various, often contradictory elements ranging from the metal of Norway in it's early 90's to rock and even classical music. All it aims to create a deep and - at the moments - even eerie atmosphere. The first thing to steal your attention may be the cello which is used in place of the lead guitar and the second is the characteristic voice of our female growler. The intriguing atmosphere, however, opens up little by little.

From Ashes is atmospheric Dark Metal at it's best. Fans of gothic and extreme, even folk metal should be satisfied.

Synkmetalyhtye FROM ASHES julkaisee debyyttialbuminsa

Sello- ja kosketinmelodioita äärimetallin agressiiviseen rumputyöskentelyyn ja naissolistinsa murahteluun yhdistävä espoolainen From Ashes on julkaissut viimein yli vuoden viivästyneen esikoisalbuminsa As the Leaves Fall. Syksyisellä pitkäsoitolla on uudelleensovitettuna bändin aikaisempaa tuotantoa sekä täysin uusia biisejä. Ennen pitkäsoittoaan bändi on julkaissut neljä tunnetuksi tullutta demoa ja soittanut toistakymmentä keikkaa pääasiassa pääkaupunkiseudulla.

As the Leaves Fall kuljettaa nimensä mukaisesti kuulijan syksyisiin sielunmaisemiin, syviin mietteisiin ja kuoleman lähestymiseen.
